  Adopted. Killed in Panama. He was a Lieut. army pilot when his plane crashed ino Panama Bay. His plane fell a short distance from a navy destroyer on patrol duty outside the Pacific entrance to the canal. It was reported it failed to pull out of a dive during bombing practice.
